Napa Valley

Stuart isn’t so bothered about the wine but there are some cool tunnels and even a castle.

The tunnels beneath the Beringer vineyards are over 100 years old.

Castillo d’Amorosa is a complete Tuscan castle.

Courtyard

Vaulted cellars; Stuart wants these for his underground lair.

Vines as far as the eye can see.

Avenue Of The Giants

Land of big trees; this one was over 1000years old when it fell.

The trees are over 100metres tall which is 1000 times tall than Stuart.

See; told you they were tall!

Where’s Dave?

This one was the biggest in the forest until it was blown over in 1991. It will take 500years for it to rot away.

Balloons

Rudely awakened by the Balloons launching in the Napa valley from just behind the railway carriage that we’re staying in.

There were four balloons being inflated in the car park.
Into the sky
Stuart being mischievous.

Off they go.

Riding the Roomba

Dave has heard that if he can get a photo of himself riding the Roomba he’ll be an overnight hit on the interwebs.

The plan is to make a jump for it when it wakes up at 08:30.

We’re on

Ta-dah. This is easy.

Except the sensors can’t spot Minions.

General agreement is that they’ll let Phil do all the cleaning back home.

Big Sur

Big Sur is the name given to the stretch of coastline between San Simeon and Carmel. It has some stunning views.

It was a windy day and the waves were piling into the coast; breaking over the rocks in plumes of spray.

The McWay Creek spelling into the Pacific Ocean.

The graceful Bixby Creek Bridge.
